What were the negative aspects of Christianity in ancient Rome?
What were the negative aspects of Christianity's ancient Rome when Christianity began? Details, please!
What a great question – an interest in a long answer mgiht. (For that I apologize.) Understand the negative aspects of Christianity in Rome IWE Christianiy now what was at that time. There are many controversies about the history of Christianity in ancient Rome. Point popular view, and a expoused accepted by Christians and those who have not studied the matter is that Christianiiy began in Judea, Rome extended through missionaries and grew very fast – so fast that Nero blamed Christians for the Great Fire. In this view Christians have been persecuted since the beginning and have been consistently pursued. But many disagree with all or even some aspects of popular opinion. For example, some believe that: – Christianity began in Judea came Rome by immigrants and grew slowly. – Nero does not blame the Christians – that had not been aware of it – and instead of blaming a religion of Egypt, who has played and that was disappointing. (Later scribes changed Tacitus) – Even at the time of Trajan, Christians Populart were very low – the Romans had no specific policy to them yet. – In general, the Romans were tolerant of religion, and finally, the policy toward Christians was more like asking and lie in all the Romans wanted a Christian accused was a statement to believe that their gods existed and wanted to see an animal sacrifice their god. That the Christian is one who has made was not his concern. They had no problem with Christianily itself has no hatred for Jesus Christ. – As a policy, there was only one official persecuion few years. – Resembed certain religions Christianity so closely Pay (For example, your Mithraism0 like the Romans were very confused about Christianity, and some wodnered why Christians bother to separate themselve -. Christianity was, in fact, a meeting of these pagan religions – which began as part of a movement of God, the man who was prevelent at the time. Especially likely started in Alexandria with the Jewish community, Jews believe in taking advantage of a coming Messiah. Most for some time Christians disagree on doctrines themselve even amogst – essential. Some do not even believe that Christ never existed and did not take the Gospels literally. – Christianiy existed alongside pagan religion for centuries, and evne after the Edict of Constantine many, many Romans remained pagans. So what aspedts Christianiy is negative. If one accepts the more see more Christian inspiration – christianiy which came on the scene like an explosion and that permeates the world s life COULD you could say that the Romans made Christianiy more passive – they have taken less interest in government and are concerned a bout the "kingdom heaven "and that Christians destroyed the Roman institutions. But if you look at history, we do this is not the case. Romans fought to the end and beyond Constantine fought converversion. Much of the recent fighting, was defensive and Christians do not just stay home and wait to become subject to the barbarians. Roman pagans and Christians have taken a great interest in their government – who have the time documetns Christian politicians to show that. The Christians of Rome has not changed everything istituions – the principality was the Senate was. The Romans later continued interest in the law, and in fact may have been a little more fair. So basically There were no negative aspects of Christianity. The idea that Rome became a Christian quckly Romans became so spiritual neglected tea country, it is not true. If Christianily was so negative that would have been felt much earlier – as the pagan religions that were based on Chrisitianity were negative affect hundreds of years. It's interesting people on both sides was negative Clain want to Christianity – Christians, seems liike beieve that power from on high could punish an evil empire, and humanistic want to show how Christians can be weak, the way that undermine moral culture.

Holidays in Rome and Paris – in need of good hotels!
My husband and I plan to go to Rome, Italy and Paris, France for 5 days each one for our honeymoon. I'm looking to find high-end hotels in each city. My statements are their own and do not go down and have a fantastic view of the room! * Ie. in Paris, I would have some kind of view of the tower across the river, in Rome, would be able to see one of the main attractions ((Colosseum the Pantheon, the Vatican, Trevi Fountain, etc)) * thanks! Set our second honeymoon. Its for our 5 years:)
I was in Paris and We stayed at the Marriott Hotel Champs-Elysees. It looks very small from the outside, but within a very nice and big. In the street Champ-Elysées, and there are many shopping and good food around. A couple of shops in the hotel is a pastry AMAZING! I recommend going to the Louvre and within walking distance around. Most people speak English taxis and many very good ones are very good, as Mercedes taxis. In Italy there is a hotel in Spanish! Beautiful! Have fun on your honeymoon!
I would stay in a hostel because it is cheaper than a hotel, but I would like to know the name and location some houses that are on or very near the center of Rome, as the Spanish Steps, Campo di Fiori, Trevi Fontaine etc is my first time to go to Rome and I am very concerned because I havent book a hotel or hostel. if someone can send me a list of hostels in these areas, Thnaks
